We are now expanding our Engineering team and are looking for an Application Engineer, junior or senior depending on experience.
Role and responsibilities
As an Application Engineer at AMEXCI, you are involved throughout the entire lifecycle of a component – from customer inquiry to industrial components approved for serial production in demanding industries such as aerospace.
You work closely with customers and internal teams in sales, production, quality and the materials lab, ensuring that technical decisions support robust manufacturing outcomes and efficient production flows.
Your responsibilities include:
· Supporting customers in design for additive manufacturing, particularly those new to AM
· Translating customer requirements into internal specifications for optimal manufacturing
· Selecting machines, materials, parameters and support strategies
· Preparing builds, including orientation, support structures and process simulations
· Contributing to industrialization and serial production, including definition and optimization of post-processing methods
· Taking responsibility for component development until approval for serial production
Who you are
You are curious, structured and motivated by understanding the full process – from design decisions to the finished component. You enjoy working hands-on, collaborating across functions and working in a project-driven environment.
You likely have:
· Experience from industrial applications of metal additive manufacturing
· Hands-on experience with LPBF and print preparation (build setup, orientation, support structures)
· Experience of working in industrial projects, with an understanding of time plans, dependencies and workflows
· A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
· An engineering degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
· Fluent in English (company language). Swedish and/or Finnish is an advantage
You may also bring experience in:
· Materials used in metal additive manufacturing
· Post-processing or metalworking
· CNC machining
· Project management
· EOS or SLM machines and 3D Expert software
